Discmania S-Line FD1
Speed: 7 | Glide: 4 | Turn: 0 | Fade: 2
Plastic: S-line | Weight: 173g+
FD1 was designed to fill the gap between our two icons, the FD and FD3. A stable flight with a reliable fade at the end is the real combination for precision when you want to hit the fairway.
You may notice some similarities to the C-line FD when you pick it up, but the glide has been reduced by one step and fade has been added to provide more stability in windy situations and greater precision. Players will love FD1's relatively flat profile and smooth release on both backhand and forehand throws.
Compared to the C-Line FD1, this S-Line version will fly noticeably straighter in the air with less effort. It will still handle many windy situations and finish at reliable hyzer angles, but you'll also be able to achieve laser-straight lines with significantly less power than with the C-line FD1. Pair these two together and you'll have plenty of options for any challenge the course throws at you.
FD1 has very high tolerance for speed and torque, meaning it can be thrown hard and can push forward along a straight and consistent flight path, finishing with a gentle bite at the end. It has enough overstable to handle strong wind, forced turnover shots, and a wide range of powerful shot-shaping angles while maintaining a more throw-friendly feel typically found in less stable discs. You can count on it to get you out of trouble, navigate complex fairways, and overcome all conditions on any day.
Suitable for: Straight fairway shots, hyzer shots, flex shots, forehand throws, windy days, both experienced and professional players
